Leap-frog Autism

Close to 350 children are diagnosed with autism per year in WA, making it the most common childhood disability. If left untreated, only 3% of those diagnosed with autism will live independently as adults, with an average cost to the state of $3-5 million over their lifetimes. Conversely, if treated with quality evidence-based therapy, research shows that up to 50% will be able to live independently, with many fully recovering from the disorder.
